Spend the money where it matters
The most common mistake we see is buying Grade A for a job a Grade B would do perfectly. The second most common is buying Grade B for a job that legally requires a current UN mark. Both cost money; only one of them costs a fine.
Work backwards from the journey, not the budget. Does the container move on a public road with regulated product in it? Then you need a valid marking and current retest dates — see grades explained. Does it sit on your own site holding water? A Grade C at a fifth of the price is not a compromise, it is the correct answer.
Stock reality
We hold 300–600 units in Astoria at any time, but the mix moves weekly with whatever the local chemical and food trade has released. Food-grade Grade A is the tightest category and worth reserving ahead; Grade B 275s are almost always available same-week.

Which grade do I actually need?
Work backwards from the contents and the journey, not the budget. Regulated transport needs a valid UN mark; static water storage on your own site is genuinely fine in Grade B or C.
Can I inspect the totes before buying?
Yes, and for orders above twenty units we encourage it. Come to the Astoria yard during opening hours, open the lids, put a torch inside and check the plates.
