Who we are

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry form we receive your first and last name, email address, phone number, postal code, and optionally your city, state or province, company name and message, together with the quantity, product type, service and grade you selected. We also record the page address the form was submitted from, so we know what you were reading when you asked.

Information collected automatically. Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider: IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp. These are retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.

What we do not collect. No advertising identifiers, no behavioural profiling, no cross-site tracking, no analytics cookies, no social media pixels. This site sets no cookies of its own.

Why we process it

• To answer your enquiry and provide a quotation — our legitimate interest in responding to a request you made.
• To perform a contract where you go on to buy from or sell to us.
• To keep records required by transport, waste and tax law.
• To prevent abuse of our forms, including a hidden honeypot field that discards automated submissions.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you separately ask us to, and we do not sell, rent or share them with anyone for their own marketing.

Who processes it

• Our lead-management provider (1db). Enquiry submissions are transmitted server-side to a lead database where our team works them. The API credentials for this are held only on our server and are never exposed to your browser.
• Cloudflare. Hosting, content delivery and network security. Handles server logs.
• Our email provider. If you email us directly, that correspondence lives in our mailbox.

We do not transfer enquiry data outside these processors. None of them is authorised to use it for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained for 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a transaction, the transaction records are kept for seven years as required by tax and — for regulated container movements — transport documentation rules. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@ibctoterecyclingny.com and we will respond within 30 days. Where records must be retained for legal reasons we will say so and tell you when they expire.

If you are a California resident, you have the rights described in the CCPA as amended, including the right to know, delete and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with a strict content security policy. Form submissions are handled by a server-side action; API credentials are stored as server-only environment variables and are never present in the browser bundle. Access to enquiry data is limited to staff who need it to do the work.

Children

This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use existing enquiry data will be notified by email to anyone affected.
